Think Thoughts

Thoughts that just float by,

Need neither action nor mention.

Thoughts that get stuck in the mind,

Need to be set into motion.

Thoughts that are too complex,

Often bugs us the whole day.

Thoughts that are too simple,

Often never see the light of day.

Thoughts can haunt us,

Just as memories do.

Thoughts can hurt us,

Just as enemies do.

Thoughts make you believe things,

With little or no evidence.

Thoughts make you deny things,

With full and total confidence.

With my thoughts these lines were created,

Much is their contribution.

With my thoughts so complicated,

Much is the retribution.
